Since the 1950s, WBS has been sending Bible courses to students around the world. The courses were first written by Christians serving in the military overseas. These men and women found that other soldiers in the military had the desire to study the Bible. They began sharing materials with thousands of non-Christians and World Bible School was born.

World Bible School continues to send Bible courses to students by mail, e-mail, and the Internet. Xenia Church of Christ contributes to this cause by providing several individuals who write lessons that are sent abroad.
