Youth
events are an important part of a successful
student ministry. Mission trips, youth
rallies, lock-ins, and other trips all play
a part in the faith formation of teenagers.
Plus, they help in social bonding and
provide a sense of that BIG EVENT to look
forward to. |

We strive to
maintain a sensible variety of events that
cover a wide range, rather than focusing on
just one type of event. |
| |
|
| |
In a
typical year, we attend various youth rallies,
take an extended mission trip, spend a week
at camp, put on a high quality VBS, perform
various service projects, stay up all night
at some lock-ins, compete in a local Bible
Bowl, raise money for
starving children, and have an occasional
purely fun recreational activity or two...or
three...or four. |

to the right. Only those ones that we know
are coming well in advance are listed.
Occasionally, we have special events such as
a movie night, an amusement park trip, a
canoeing trip, a youth fun day, a corn maze
adventure, or some other similar event.
Whenever such events are being planned, we
try to give as much advance notice as
possible. |

WINTERFEST -
February 20-22, 2009
This is one of the best youth rallies
around and attended by over 13,000 people. It takes place in Gatlinburg, TN every
President's Day weekend. |

BIBLE BOWL -
March 7-8, 2009
This is a friendly competition between numerous
youth groups that promotes intense bible study
in a particular area of Scripture. Next year's
book is Joshua. |

SENIOR ROAST -
May 17, 2009
Just around the time of graduation, we say
goodbye to our graduating seniors with a banquet
and roast of their most funny and embarrassing
moments...all in good fun! |

We graduate students out of the youth ministry
at the Senior Roast. Initiation is where we
usher the newbie's in. Oh what fun! Oh what a
blast!! |

30 HOUR FAMINE -
Every day, 29,000 children die of hunger and
other preventable causes. We're taking a stand
and raising money to help fight world hunger. |

FALLFEST -
October
2009
Fallfest is our annual youth rally at Kings
Island. It started as an outgrowth of Winterfest
but has taken on a life of its own. Join us the
last weekend in September. |
