Sitting in the shadow of a
former Native American encampment, and now Fort
Hill State park, is Fort Hill Christian Youth
Camp. Established in 1948, its mission is to
provide a summer camp experience for youth with
an emphasis on understanding God's word and
developing Christian character. |

For over half a century
Fort Hill has been the foundation for children
and teens to build those enjoyable, summertime
memories of camp. Swimming, hiking, singing,
sports, campfires, hotdog roasts, new friends
and old friends.
The activities at Fort Hill are overseen by
Christian men from a number of Churches of
Christ who make up the camp's board of
directors. Each week of camp is supervised by a
different manager, who brings a dedicated staff
of volunteering counselors, teachers, and cooks.
As important as nightly campfires are to camp,
so are the Bible classes taught at Fort Hill.
The theme for 2008 is Christian Evidences. This
year also marks Fort Hill's 60th anniversary.
Camp fees are $90 per camper if registration and
payment are postmarked by May 14. Afterwards,
fees are $100 per camper.
