April 6-7, 2012

Midwest LTC is a leadership training program designed to stimulate and encourage spiritual, mental, and social growth among youth in grades 3-12.
LTC is geared toward developing leadership skills in children and teens to raise up leaders for the church. Students are awarded gold, silver, or bronze awards based on their achievements. LTC does not pit one church against another in competition. Developing leadership in youth should not be competitively-based. Therefore, students are judged by an established set of guidelines for each event rather than being judged against each other.
When and Where? LTC takes place at the Marriott East Indianapolis on April 6-8 2012. The theme for 2012 is "Journey of Faith" based on Genesis. There are 22 different events divided into three categories: Pre-Convention, Convention, and Challenge. Students can enter as many as they want. Click on each category below to see the rules, guidelines, and judging criteria for that event.
Pre-Convention Events: Students finish these prior to the convention and are submitted by February 27, 2012. Christian Writing, Radio Minute Message, Short Film, and Video Bible Drama. You do not have to attend the convention in order to participate in any of these events.
Convention Events: Students prepare ahead of time and present these at the convention. They are: Alternative Art, Bible Bowl (grades 3-6 study guide, grades 7-12 study guide), Bible Quiz (Genesis), Bible Reading, Bulletin Board, Group Singing, Live Drama, Puppets, Scrapbooks, Signing/Interpreting for the Deaf, Song Leading, Speech, and Traditional Art.
Challenge Events: Students finish special projects prior to the convention and submit them, but they are not judged on specific criteria like Pre-Convention Events are. Rather, students are awarded according to their effort. They are: Bible Class Teaching Challenge (entry form), Mentroing Challenge (entry form), Outreach Challenge (entry form), Scripture Challenge (entry form), and Service Challenge (entry form).
